Everyone must see this movie because it rocks!
And so does the soundtrack. Kimya Dawson of the Moldy Peaches wrote most of the songs and they're adorable!

We also went to see Sweeney Todd last weekend at the Ziegfeld. I liked it much better than I thought I would. Most of the music is beautiful. It gets a bit repetitive sometimes (the reprise like EVERY song at least 3 times!!! enough already, move on!). But Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter are fabulous. So is Alan Rickman. I love that guy.

Just saw a Masterpiece theatre version of Persuasion. Yuck. How can you ruin one of the best love stories of all time! I love love love that book, and this adaptation was severely lacking. Ann went from being the quiet, good, loveable, steadfast girl, to just a spineless doormat. It was painful to watch. If you haven't seen it, definitely check out the version with Amanda Root and Cieren Hinds. Awesomeness.

Just went to see Rilo Kiley at Webster Hall. That was an amazing show. Jenny Lewis is my idol. I am looking for a picture of her outfit because it was freaking awesome. It was this metallic silver hotpants-suit with thick, overall style straps and a thin belt. So cool. NOTHING you'd ever catch me waering, but wicked.
I'm in Madison Wisconsin now. Woo hoo. Okay, not really. IT seems pretty boring. But I saw that The Brunettes are playing on Tuesday night, so we got tickets. I've been hearing good things about them for years, so it'll be fun to see them play in a small town venue.
This is so boring, isn't it... well, my other blog is the fun one with pictures.

What's your cure for writers block?
Remember what it was like when you had to write in an actual notebook? When there was no INTERNET to distract you. I used to do research in the actual library. Can you imagine that?
Ugh.
